Founder and CEO

Salli’s passion for horses developed at a very young age. Horse riding got her through the misty years of adolescence. Growing up she never had an equestrian centre that would give her a holistic view on horse-riding and she wanted to be able to share her passion with others and create awareness for mental health

Mehera

Customer Success Manager

Mehera’s a Jarrahdale Local and her love for horses started from a very young age and has been riding since she was 7. After living overseas on and off for the last 6 years she’s back home and getting back in touch with her horsey roots. Mehera’s been on a few ride outs and is getting back into lessons to tune up those rusty skills. She finds riding peaceful and a great way to clear the mind and reset.

Did you know… Mehera spent her 30th Birthday in Iceland riding the unique Icelandic Horse!

Allie

Operations Manager

I have been riding horses since I was three, my dad being a stockmen and avid horse rider had us off every weekend at pony club events or mustering or just trail rides for fun. After moving from the eastern states I was looking for some where I could introduce my daughters to horses. I found Jarrahdale equestrian almost 4 years ago it has reignited my passion and also my two daughters who now ride at the centre. I love igniting our clients passion and encouraging them to grow not only as riders, but also growth in themselves, it is great to be able to share my experience with others and work alongside an amazing team of ladies.

Takara

Head of Teaching

Takara has been riding for 10 years and been with JE for 7 of those! Takara loves that each horse has a different personality. They are intelligent and funny, and even on her worst days they can make her smile.

Did you know… Takara has such a generous soul, she even brings the horses liquorice for a treat when she works

Cath

Senior Instructor

Hi I’m Cath, I’ve been riding horses for around 30 years, and am currently studying coaching with Equestrian Australia.

I love being surrounded by positive, happy people who love a good laugh. I also love volunteering my time as a rider with the 10th Light Horse and as an official with RallyWA.

After an absence of horses around me for 5 years, I realised I needed horses in my life to be mentally and physically healthy. I love teaching others to ride and train their horses, and am super grateful for the opportunity to do that here at Jarrahdale Equestrian.

Nellie

Senior Instructor

Nellie moved to WA from Victoria to study vet and wanted to continue working with horses. Jarrahdale Equestrian stood out to her and she has loved teaching others her passion. She especially loves the infectious laughter of kids trotting for the first time.

Ever since pony rides at the age of 3, Nellie has loved horses and riding, as it forces her to be in the moment and takes her away from her busy life and thoughts. She believes that everyone should ride a horse at least once in their life!

I have been apart of this fabulous team for many years now. It’s a very rewarding job in helping other to either: face their fears, gain a new skill in horse-riding, refine your skills or just have a leisurely escape on horseback through the Jarrahdale hills.

I have ridden horses my whole life and I know how much joy they have brought me, so it great to be able to share this experience with others.

I have 5 young children whom all ride at Jarrahdale Equestrian Centre as its such a great community and learning to control a large animal has so many benefits, just to name a few: confidence, decision making, strength, problem solving, patience, but most important FUN!

I was lucky enough to learn to ride at Jarrahdale Equestrian Centre in 2016. Jarrahdale Equestrian instantly became my happy place. Learning from Salli Galvin and the Pink Ladies inspired me and taught me so much about horses but also helped me build valuable life skills. I am so happy to now be a Pink Lady and pass on those same skills onto our new and upcoming riders.

I love how Jarrahdale Equestrian goes beyond just a riding school, creating an environment to empower people to grow and build confidence. I particularly love the focus on mental health awareness, which is something i take great pride in working for!
