Please understand that all bookings are non refundable and we require 1 business days notice for rescheduling otherwise full fare is due.

All riders must wear HELMETS (provided by Jarrahdale Equestrian), LONG PANTS (jeans/leggings etc), FULLY ENCLOSED SHOES (with a slight heel and a smooth sole, sneakers will be suitable).

Singlets/ Shorts / sandals / high heels are NOT safe to ride in and will result in your ride being cancelled with no refund applicable.

Private Lessons (1hr)

Book a private lesson to improve your childs skills and technique as well as building self esteem, self belief and build their confidence! All while having our instructors full attention and working at the pace and level of your child. Working from basics of horse riding to high level horsemanship with every lesson tailored to your child!

Tiny Tots (30 min)

Our Ponies and our wonderful “Pink Ladies are kind, patient and helpful. 

We have a format for this 30 minute lesson however as it is a private lesson we have the flexibility to tailor this experience to your needs, experience level and own  abilities. 

$95 for 30 minutes

Tiny Tots is strictly for children 3-6 years old and is not available on weekends.  For those older please see our standard 1hr private lesson.

Group Lessons (1hr)

We offer both Private group lessons for family and/or friends wishing to ride together, as well as our public children’s group lessons (Trot / Canter / Gallop Clubs). Our maximum size for any group will be 4 riders.

If this is the start of your child’s horse riding experience with us, we require you to start by booking at least 1 private lesson so we can assess their level and then recommend the correct group to join. This is so your child can learn some basic techniques and control before riding with others.

Trot Club

A fun and relaxed introduction to riding for young children, teaching them to ride as well as how to care for a horse.

This one hour horse riding lesson is a perfect introduction to horsemanship for children of any age. With a maximum of four children per class, they are taught a wholistic view of horse ownership including how to rug a horse, brushing and caring for the horse/pony and saddling up. They enjoy a fun 30 minutes in the arena learning and practising riding skills followed by a 15 minute ride around the property taking in the beautiful creek and dam. The final 15 minutes includes playing games or completing an obstacle course or something equally fun to do with their horse/pony. If their equine companion is not required for a subsequent lesson, and if time permits, the child will untack the pony, brush it down and help put it away.

We have three levels

WHITE ( Beginner Level )Most Popular

Children are expected to rise trot without assistance, they can hold shorten and lengthen their reins. They can mount and unmount correctly using the mounting block.

RED ( Intermediate Level)Most Popular

Children are able to trot the round yard with no hands, they can correct their stirrups themselves when reminded, they hold their heels down and can halt the horse themselves. They learn to tack up the horse themselves.

BLUE ( Advanced Level )Most Popular

Children can fix their reins independently and without instruction. They can canter the round yard with assistance i.e hold onto the saddle, They have independent hand and autonomy feet correction.

Canter Club

Teaching tweens the basic skills required to care for a horse, focussing on technique and communication.

Ideal for children with previous riding experience and wishing to advance their skills, this one hour horse riding lesson teaches age appropriate basic skills needed for horse and pony ownership. Participants enjoy 45 minutes in the arena focusing on important technique and horse communication, followed by a 15 minute ride around our beautiful property along the creek and next to the dam.

We have three levels

WHITE ( Beginner Level )Most Popular

Students can ride without stirrups at the trot. They can canter independently and are able to ride one handed with adequate control.

RED ( Intermediate Level)Most Popular

Students have correct positioning and balance, they correct their reins and positioning of hands independently. There are clear aids and transitions between gaits.

BLUE ( Advanced Level )Most Popular

Students have good horse control, they can confidently track a 6 metre circle and jump 50cm. They know their diagonals and canter leads.

Gallop Club

More advanced riders receive an insight into horse psychology and experience the rewards of proper horse handling.

For the more advanced rider, our gallop club teaches a more developed level of understanding of horses and horsemanship. Students are given an understanding of how a horse thinks, learn comprehensive communication skills and how to handle a horse in high pressure and fast paced situations.

We have three levels

WHITE ( Beginner Level )Most Popular

This is where the children can understand canter leads and diagonals, they can ride their horse one handed with full control and they are able to leg yield and side pass the horse easily and correctly.

RED ( Intermediate Level)Most Popular

Correct position and body posture, general horse knowledge of the four parts of a horse and how to exercise them. Clear airs and transition between gaits.

BLUE ( Advanced Level )Most Popular

The children have an in-depth understanding of horsemanship and they can move individual parts of their horse as a rider and a trainer. Their leg yield, side pass, turn on the for and turn on the hind are clear and well executed. They can accomplish “Breaking at the Pole” and they can rate their horse through the three paces with collection.
